I'll be ordering the RAM from Crucial (it's about half the cost, eh?) and installing it myself.
So within 2 weeks I'll have it. I'm going to order the RAM shortly, as well as a Marware Protection pack, so that I'm ready to use it when it rolls in.
2 weeks to the new Mac, which also includes my first time with Leopard. I'll be using the Migration Assistance to grab everything off the G4. I'm super-de-duper excited. Yes I am!
By the way, I like these two parts of the bill:
No shipping charge is a goodness, and no tax is an Oregon greatness. ;)
Yes. I am here to butt in with my thoughts again!
If I may, check out the RAM at macsales.com. Their RAM meets all of Apple’s internal specifications, and it’s very inexpensive. :)
Andru, you rock:
4.0GB (2GB+2GB Kit) PC2-5300 DDR2 667MHz SO-DIMM 200 Pin Memory Upgrade Kit $159.99 - ordered just now. =)
I can even send in the Macbook’s RAM to them and get a rebate or some such; just have to do so within 60 days.
Thanks for letting me know about that site. =)
But I’m sure there’s something in a shade of grey…
Something in between…
And ordered the Marware Protection Pack. I have more than enough time for everything to arrive around the same date, so let’s hope they do.
Now just to consider an appropriate sleeve or some such for when I take it out. As if I don’t have enough bags that it will be fine in. Hrm.
