I signed up for L.A. Fitness. They have a gorgeous pool: junior olympic, salt-water, 85 degrees, a huge number of machines, a great class schedule, and basketball.
I go in for an assessment Thursday. I may hire a personal trainer if I think that'll actually get me working out. I know what the assessment will say, after all: "will have 4 heart attacks before 40 if not fixed soon."
Meh. I have to stick with this. I haven't seen a doctor here yet, though I will soon, but I know that ultimately it's a matter of life or death. I'm willing to do so much for my cats, my friends, my family - it's time I actually put some effort into myself.
Congrats on this life-changing decision! I wish i could say that after the Captain left for Iraq, I stuck with it. I mean, my eating habits haven’t plummeted back to rock bottom, but I’ve slacked on the exercise. I’d lost a total of 26 pounds; gained back 5. Could be worse. I wish you great success, Lisa!
(BTW, possible that you could change my username at all? I am no longer using Maevyn…...if so, LMK and I’ll pass along the new one I’d like. If not, no biggy; can delete account and re-register. :) )
Don’t you dare delete the account, all your comments and stuff are appropriately associated! *cries* Oh my god, I have to go disable that ability!!! ;)
I was wondering about that. You changed URLs, usernames, oh my goodness!
Send a private message with your new username, and I’ll get it changed for you. =)
.. and thank you for the well wishes. And hey, you’re still 21lbs ahead, that’s great and way better than where I am at right now. :)
But I’m sure there’s something in a shade of grey…
Something in between…
