Room shot, water, sand and filters

And so I started a new reef tank. This one is bigger than my last tank (which was African Cichlids). It was delivered last night, and I had it filled up within an hour (direct from the faucet, baby). I used a plate over the sand, so it's not at all cloudy. Salinity and temperature are stabilized so I'll be cycling using Live Rock and Live Sand, starting this afternoon.

I'm super excited. I got this as a used tank, but it was only 3 months old, and I saved about $200 off the new price. Great store, too - PDX Fish Guys, only a few minutes away. They rescue fish, hehe.

I'm super excited about having a tank up and running again. I really, really feel better when I have an aquarium, and tend to watch it for hours. This house just happens to be perfectly setup for a tank, too. I wish I could have gotten a 180 gallon (6x2x2) - but that just wasn't in the budget for now.
