Random tidbits

I love Skype. I got the deal for $14.95 for all US and Canadian outbound calls for all next year, and I've used it for every outgoing call I've made from the apartment. It is utterly fantastic. More people need to use Skype.

Last night I took a walk to the store to pick up some tea and chips. As I was leaving I heard two cars come to a screeching halt by the red light, one after the other. The light went green and they sped around the corner to the next light, screeching to a halt again. It was clear to me that they were together and being idiots. That light is red but you can turn right on red at that light. So one inches up, looks, and floors it around the corner. The next car does the same thing, safely inches up, sees that it is clear, and floors it. Well, there was now a third car. He doesn't inch up - no need, no cars in sight; but what does he do? Flips on the sirens and lights. You got it, kiddies, these morons pulled that game in front of a cop.

I giggled the rest of the way home.

I was supposed to go out with someone yesterday and I got my apartment cleaned up in case we returned here, but those plans got called off. My apartment is tidy, though, with the exception of my laundry being on my floor in my bedroom. I'll get to that. A week of classes beginning tomorrow and then a week off with th exception of a class on the 17th. It will be an interesting 3 weeks. Supposedly grades get posted on the 10th, for last semester. I don't think I want to know. winks

Anyhooo, off to get some Special K and Vegetable Soup. That'll be my diet of the week, as I'll be quite busy.

Someone tell Mali that my laptop being in my lap is not an invitation for her to be on my laptop in my lap. Please.
