Promoted myself to a room with a view…

So my stuff arrived yesterday, and with it my 22" monitor and cables, and my desk and computer chair, etc. So, of course, that was the first thing I got set up. I had some trouble finding the cable and then a co-worker helped me get the powerbook going to the monitor again (close the lid, then actually wake it from sleep, durr).

Now I am sitting in front of a gorgeous open window, temperature today is meant to be around the mid 70s. I can see my car, I can see the sky, and I can see people going past. The cats can hang out in the window and I have a proper work environment. It's perfect. I can even reach over and play piano if I need a short break.

I have the futon set up, too, so this will double as a guest-room for visitors (the first of which will be dad tomorrow), and I have the hanging cat thing over the door here so the cats can be comfy hanging out with me.

So far, so good. Whee!
