Parents visiting unexpectedly!

Yesterday, mom and dad asked if I am free this weekend. I am, and so they've decided to visit. They arrive at 8 :25pm and leave 6am Monday. Yes, this is rather impulsive for a cross-country trip, very unexpected but I'm really looking forward to their visit.

I went way over my mobile minutes last month so have instituted a new policy of using Skype for all outgoing calls when I'm home, and have a new Skype-phone arriving today to use it without toting my Macbook with me from room to room. It was only $3.99 to have it overnighted via Amazon, so why not, right? I got it as a Gold Box deal yesterday.

I discovered that I have about 5 copies of each photo in iPhoto and I can't seem to find a duplicate finder that has good reviews.

On Sunday, we're going to Salty's for brunch, and I've somehow con'd C & W into coming. smirks

Even though he and I don't talk, I still have a RustyCon membership, which is next weekend, and I'm debating if I should go. That would put me up in Seattle to visit with Seattle-ites that I want to see and may be available. But it's a longish drive. I have the hotel room booked and that'd cost about $210. Not sure if I'll go; I don't have to decide until Friday - I can cancel the hotel room any time up until Friday at 5pm.

I am starting to snap out of my recent depression, but it's been trying at best. Having my family here will help a lot. Did I mention I'm looking forward to their visit?
