Oregon, baby, here I come.

Well, I have decided to move out to Hillsboro, OR. This is about 15-30 minutes, I think, from Portland downtown. I am going to be renting a 2 bedroom apartment in Cortland Village, the Gala Floorplan. For anyone interested, you can read more about the area at Orenco Station and at Wikipedia's article on Hillsboro.

I'm super excited. The plan is to move around August 3rd or so. I'll have help packing and moving the week prior and that person (Chris/Cirira) will be toting one of the cats on the plane to Portland, while I tote the other - in the cabin - yep.

Hopefully I can get the movers here around 7 am, drive down to NY around noon or earlier. Let the cats out to run around and romp in my room in NY, use the bathroom, and eat - then pack then back up, go to JFK (dad driving) and hop the plane to Portland. Possibly overnight in NY then a morning flight to Portland, it all depends, really, on what my vet says about that.

So, in a little over a month, I'll be on the west coast. I'm psyched. =)
