New site toys - spoken word and Feetnotes!
I was bored and decided to resurrect the recitals of my poetry. I think I need to re-do them, though: be a bit more dynamic.
Someone told me I sound like a 12 year old. That's not the first time I've heard that.
Anyhow, so I got two new toys working. I can now painlessly add footnotes! [[Via the Feetnotes Plugin]] I can now also speak at any entry I want, and you can listen by just hitting that nifty play button[[Added with Flash MP3Player]] over on the left.
Those with permission can now listen to most of my poetry, as well, though like I said - I need to re-record it, which I use Audacity for now. That program has come a long way.
Tomorrow... tomorrow is exciting. Yay for tomorrow!

BTW: Which “this”? I personally think that all of “this” is pretty damned cool. But I was curious about what you thought….

I may actually be able to get you some freelance work (if you want it) I don’t have much time and I need to make http://www.sicksite.com really sing. I am a database guy and work on the IT side of L.A.M.P. from the ground up for the State of Colorado Air Quality webserver apcd.state.co.us (yes, server error messages actually instruct you to send me nasty emails). I know that my client would be very excited to have this site up quickly and I know so little about the EE back end. I think he would be willing to pay $40/hr.
Give me a call and I will give you the admin username and password and you can go nuts. If you have time, I would like to talk to you sometime anyway. I want to hear your voice so I can make up my own mind about how old you sound =).

Aw, thank you for the offer. But no - I am not going to take on any more work at the moment. With EllisLab keeping me busy, getting Mali healthy and planning a move I just don’t feel like it would be fair to myself or a client if I attempted to split my attention more. Thank you, though!

Create an account (the “Home” dropdown in the nav) and create an account if you don’t have one. Then login (same place) then edit your account (same place, it’ll show up after you login) - Add a signature there and away you go. =) You can add an avatar, too, I’m nice like that ;)

Brian - btw, while I don’t want to take on freelance work I invite you to add my AIM and I’ll be happy to try to answer any questions you may have about EE.
