This evening I drove into Portland to meet Rick and Paul for dinner; it was fantastic. We went to Rock Bottom Brewery. It is strange to think that this was the first kind offline contact I've had with my peers; all other having been done online: through e-mail, forums, and instant messaging. It was great to have that interaction and it really reinforced my decision on this whole part of my life.
Annnnd... I love Portland! I almost (not quite) wish I had moved into Portland itself. It is very much like NYC in its layout, being very grid-like with every all one-way streets. But it was pretty clean, and even rush-hour traffic was just... not. I love that city and intend to spend more time there, for sure. I'm happy I drove, the traffic really was nothing to be concerned about and parking was cheap.
Tonight was an absolutely amazing evening.
Rock Bottom Brewery is AWESOME. I always get the Texas Fire Steak with the white cheddar mashed taters. I also have the Peaked Wheat to drink. YUMMEH! :)
BTW, TAG! You’re it. See my place for further details. LOL
Lisa,
I haven’t been around much for months or even years but just today caught up on what’s been happening in your life and I must say I’m really happy for you. Everything is coming up roses and all the recent posts are basically dripping with excitement and happiness! Great! :)
You deserve all those good things!
All the best to you and, congratulations on the move, the new place and the new (better) life.

Maevyn, I never got to do that - I haven’t barely had time to sit down here when I’m not working, much less do a meme. I’m sorry :(
Volkher! It’s good to hear from you, I hope you are doing well. And thank you =)
But I’m sure there’s something in a shade of grey…
Something in between…
