Medicine is not a science.

I spoke to the vet about Mali's most recent chem panel:

Liver Values ALP: 315[[Slightly elevated]] AST: 109[[Should be under 100]]

Kidney Values Creatin: 2.5[[Slightly elevated but down from 4.3!]] BUN: 23[[Totally normal, down from 82]]

Her liver has been fine for months, and she's still on her liver meds. She's not on any kidney meds and the levels are going up and down. We want to get her on Azodyl for kidney support, but her liver needs to be stable.

It's baffling. Mali and Kayne have a checkup next Tuesday for a 10 day health certificate and Mali will have her blood drawn and a full panel done again to see if everything is down to normal. My vet had no idea. I'm hoping that a new vet will lend some new insights.
