I think that this weekend I will be packing up what I want from the kitchen, and throwing out/giving away the rest. I already gave away several items via Craigslist. But that means after this weekend I will live out of paper cups, bowls, and plates. that is fine with me, means less dish-washing, and less stress dealing with it all. I don't think I'll be taking much of my "fine china" grins - most of it is chipped and in bad condition, and was cheap in the first place. I'll pick up new stuff in Oregon - less stuff that can break is a bonus.
I did get the rest of my textbooks packed last night into 3 small boxes that aren't disgustingly heavy. I also cleared out an area to put the boxes so that I can walk around the apartment and I'll probably move them tonight. That'll let me get into the boiler room as well. I need to get a folder for stuff that I need with me - Mali's medical records, the moving paperwork, proof of employment for my new apartment then proof of domicile for my new car, as well as proof of insurance. And I still need to talk to city hall about cordoning off 73 feet for the moving truck, which will basically make this road impassable for a few hours. Still you can usually get a permit for it and doing so will save me approximately $400; otherwise they have to use a shuttle truck, which is built into the quote right now, but it would be nice to save that money.
Fun fun!
