“Kidney Insufficiency”

So, I asked my vet today if Mali is in Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) - she is not, she has kidney insufficiency which can lead to CRF - and will, if not managed properly. You want to see the kind of information I have to learn to understand? I have most of it down these days, but anyway:

Mali's WBCs is starting to rise, 17.4 (4.2-15.6), as are BUN 82 (15-34) and Creat 4.3 (0.8-2.3). rec trial course Doxy, con't other medications although Ursodiol is not a priority, increase SQ fluids to 100ml SID and repeat CBCChem 2 wks, sooner if she's not feeling well.

On Monday Mali is going to try a new medication, and she's back on SubQ fluids once daily. The vet is not overly concerned right now; I may have just been blowing this out of proportion yesterday - exacerbated by that Mali had quit eating yesterday, but today she is eating well again. So it was just an off-day all around.

Nevertheless, that emotional roller-coaster link? Yea. That's accurate for me.

It looks like I'll have the movers booked by the end of today. Just waiting on one more call-back. Whee!
