K9 Tricks Class

In an effort to bond with, and turn Elka into, a a great dog, I have enrolled her not only in puppy obedience - which we'll do all the levels of; but also in a K9 tricks class. These are stupid tricks but they can be great foundations for other things and they make her think and focus, and we work together. The class today was a lot of fun. We are learning to spin and twist; for her to walk around me, and for her to do "bang, you're dead" - she's a natural at the last. We're also learning to "sit pretty" though as a puppy, she won't have the balance for it. I'll be using the term "beg" for this one. We're also going to learn targeting - having her touch something with her nose or paw.

It's a great class, really a lot of fun and great stuff to learn. I'm happy I signed up for it. =)
