Finally back up and running - and a new CP theme.

I finally have this computer fully up to speed with all the software I need. I had forgotten to grab my bookmarks and my OPML from FeedDemon, but was able to get that off the 700m without any crunching noises, making me think I was hallucinating. I hope it wasn't something temporary - still, better safe than sorry, a lot better safe than sorry, given how reliant I am on my laptop.

Heck, even Skype is running excellently; I didn't think it would - there were many negative reports about its compatibility. But I did some testing with it and it worked as wonderfully as ever. I didn't get to test it with landlines, since it's 3am - but I'll do that tomorrow. I owe mom a call anyway. =)

One of the things I realized I was missing was an FTP program. I discovered this when I saw the new 31Three ExpressionEngine Control Panel Theme. I got CuteFTP up and running, and the new theme installed, and boy is it nice. Think I'll have to pop it on to the other sites I run ... tomorrow. When I figure out the details to access said sites.

The only downside to Vista so far is that Snood doesn't currently run well - it runs approximately 2 frames per second, and if you've played Snood - then you know that just ain't gonna cut it. They're working on a Vista update, though, so I hope it comes out soon. I'm totally addicted to that stupid game. =)

Other than that: had a productive day - dishes washed, a load of laundry done. Some more cleaning to do but I am well on schedule.

A productive, and distressing, and productively distressing spring break. Or something.
