Changes underfoot…. EE 1.6 up and running.
Alrighty folks -- distant, early morning is now running on ExpressionEngine 1.6.
It is absolutely awesome. The new features available blew me away when I first saw the changelog. I got so excited that I begged and begged for Paul and Derek to let me run 1.6... ok. I didn't beg. I may have pestered a little bit. This is a really amazing update.
Beat it up, click links everywhere, submit comments. Let me know if you find anything strange, awry, unworking.
I accept compliments, too. And cookies, and chocolate. Books... whistles

Son of a.............*sigh* Now I have no CHOICE but to purchase another year of downloads. Oh, that they would make it so that once you fork out that dough for the software, downloads would be for life. LOL. (Cause you know. I really mind. LOLOL)

(BTW, the image for the “Submit” button isn’t showing up; hasn’t been for my last few responses. I cleared cache but still don’t see it. Art thou working away? LOL)
Nope, I’m not working. There have been a few strange occurrence of images on the site not occurring. I’ve noticed a few periods where I can’t even get out of Comcast - or out of Boston or blah blah. If it’s still happening in a few days I’ll troubleshoot it more but it seems recent - was happening before I upgraded so I’m sure it’s not part of the 1.6 thing. =)
Nope, no ETAs, but the internal beta seems to be going fairly well from what I can tell, so hopefully not long. It’s killing me not being able to talk about the new features! =)

Believe me, this place is full of sarcasm - but until you’re known, you should be careful how your text is taken. Remember, it’s *just* text, no tonal inflection to hear the sarcasm.

I’m not trying to tear ya down but apparently I’ve made you feel that way. So my apologies.
My comment was more or less about EE 1.6. The rest was just pointless banter. Little did I know such things would be the tipping point for you to act out of defense for your website. I wasn’t bashing, if I wanted to bash I could have run the gamut in pain-staking detail and at that point you would have deleted the comment anyway. So no, I wasn’t bashing. I made a loose criticism and that was my mistake. So I am sorry.
You’re still awesome in my book.
